Hello!
My name is Adjin (rhymes with “imagine”), and I’m an Instructional Designer based in Chicago, Illinois.
I started working in Learning and Development in 2014 in Spain, helping bilingual schools modernize and digitize their learning experiences, both in-person and online. Since then, I’ve created training across bilingual education, healthcare, and human services, including support for caregivers, coordinators, and administrative staff working in state-regulated programs across multiple states.
I have a Master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and I’ve completed a certificate program in Instructional Design and Technology to keep growing in adult learning and education technology.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling (28 countries so far), antique shops, designing and sewing clothes and quilts, embroidery, and rescuing discarded houseplants.
My training philosophy:
Very few employees get excited when they receive the email informing them that they have been enrolled in a training. So I believe training should be short, accessible, and as enjoyable as possible—while still getting to the point. I write short text, build in interaction, and focus on clarity.
When I design for trainers, I try to set them up for success. They should know what they’re doing—and if someone else has to step in at the last minute, it should still run smoothly. I believe trainers need useful resources, backup activities, ways to check understanding, and support to create a space where learning feels safe and worth showing up for.
